W.I.N. - Workplace INclusion and Diversity Training and Campaigning for Professionals in the Private Sector and VET providers

The European Union is making continuous efforts and promoting various initiatives aimed at increasing the inclusion of people with disabilities and ensuring equal opportunities, but there are still significant barriers in the areas of education and employment.
An assessment of employment indicators reveals a huge gap between people with and without disabilities.
Currently, only about half of working-age people with disabilities are employed. An assessment of employment indicators reveals a huge gap between people with and without disabilities; today, only about half of working-age people with disabilities have jobs.

Inclusive education is still being implemented too slowly and inconsistently, and employers' limited knowledge of the needs for adapting the work environment reinforces the stigma associated with hiring people with disabilities.

Results:

  • Training Programmes – three inclusive training programmes will be developed for VET trainers, employers, and learners.
  • Research & Findings – national and joint research reports will be produced, highlighting barriers and good practices in inclusion.
  • Policy Recommendations – recommendations will be developed based on networking and consultations with VET providers, employers, and public authorities.
